Newsflash: Another American is newly diagnosed with multiple sclerosis every single hour.
Did that come as a surprise? It didn’t to Juhi Choudhury, ’16, who, determined to advocate for the neurological disease’s research, registered for the BP MS 150 “to fulfill a personal challenge, and to help the National MS Society fund research and help people with MS and their families lead powerful lives.”
Multiple sclerosis is a progressive disease, and guarantees living with uncertainty for those affected. It could result in paralysis one day, loss of vision the next, or impaired memory the day after.
She has a $400 fund goal for the race from Houston to Austin on April 12, and so far has completed 25 percent of her goal through the generous Nyquist family.
