Warriors take commanding 3-0 lead in Game 3

The Rockets get blown out today, 115-80. Showing no heart in the second half, the Rockets were outplayed by the Warriors by more than 35 points at some times. James Harden forgot his clutch at home as he scored 17 on less than 20% shooting for the game. Meanwhile, Curry was on fire, breaking the single playoff three record as well as scoring 40 while dishing out 7 assists in the duration of the game.

Throughout NBA history, only 3 teams has ever forced a game 7 while being down from 3-0 in the series, the most recent team being Portland in 2003. Only 9 teams have ever forced a game 6. No teams have ever won a series being down 3-0 in the postseason. The Rockets seem unwilling to make history as the first team to win the series, from the lack of heart and poor shooting performance they displayed tonight. Of course, it also doesn’t help that the media gives a plethora of reasons for the League and casual NBA fans to bash on the Rockets and downplay their achievements.

The future of the Rockets’ postseason looks grim, but if they came out and showed the heart and vigor they played with in the series against the Clippers, there might be a chance they can turn this bleak outlook around. The next game will take place on May 25th, as the Rockets aim to fend off elimination.
